2005 US Grand Prix - Indianapolis
My family, my parents and my brother were at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway the weekend of June 16-19 for the 2005 US Grand Prix Formula One race. Michelin failed to compensate for the extreme conditions of turn 13, resulting in 14 of the 20 cars not even running the race. So, the race itself was a bust, but we still saw some great cars.

Sunday - Race Day (sort of)We were aware of the backstory affecting Michelin tires, but the majority of the people at the track were not, and no announcements were made. All 20 cars took the formation lap, but then the 14 Michelin-shod cars pulled into pitlane and parked their cars in the garage. A truly sad day for Formula One! 55 images |
